AAMC Women in Medicine
The AAMC's Women in Medicine program assists dean's offices and faculty members in addressing gender-related inequities and improving the pathways for women to contribute fully to academic medicine. Dr. Pauly serves on the WIM coordinating committee.
Academy of Health Professions, Gainesville High School
The Academy of Health Professions is a magnet program located on the campus of Gainesville High School. The focus of the AHP program is to provide experience for students interested in pursuing technical training in health-related careers. The majority of students in this program are from economically and educationally underserved backgrounds. The program consists of integrated curricula in applied academics and clinical experiences in health care settings. The program articulates with the Allied Health Sciences, Nursing, Dental, Emergency Medical Services and Fire Sciences programs at Santa Fe Community College and is operated in conjunction with the health care providers of the community.
The African American Accountability Alliance (4As) is an organization of African American professionals who are committed to promoting positive change in Alachua County’s African American community. Several of the OED Advisory Board members also are involved with the 4As.
Aspiring Docs is an organization that represents the 126 accredited medical schools and more than 400 teaching hospitals in the United States. Through the AAMC, Aspiring Docs offers resources, tools, information and support for prospective students to explore careers in medicine.
The 2007 University of Florida Climate Survey. The International Survey Research Instrument (ISR) is a 78-item questionnaire that measures attitudes and needs of faculty related to career development, empowerment, quality of life, diversity, benefits, engagement, recognition and reward, strategy and direction, university image, resources and efficiency, working relationships, faculty and administration relations, reaction to the survey, leadership, and communication.
Drexel’s Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) program offers an intensive one-year program of leadership training, with extensive coaching, networking, and mentoring opportunities, aimed at expanding the national pool of qualified women candidates for leadership in academic medicine, dentistry, and public health.
ENTRY POINT! is a program of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) offering internship opportunities for students with disabilities in science, engineering, mathematics, computer science, and some fields of business. The Gay and Lesbian Medical Association
The Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA) is the world's largest and oldest association of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) health care professionals. GLMA was founded in 1981 as the American Association of Physicians for Human Rights with the mission of ensuring equality in health care for LGBT individuals and health care professionals.
The Summer Medical and Dental Education is a free six-week summer academic enrichment program that offers freshman and sophomore college students intensive and personalized medical and dental school preparation.
